Introducing the new R7795 Unattended Multichannel Analyser (UMCA), a new product that builds upon CAEN’s expertise in digital MCA technology, including insights from the Hexagon series, to provide a solution specifically engineered for reliable and continuous unattended operation.
This innovative single-input, high-precision 32k digital MCA is being designed with a primary focus on autonomous data acquisition for extended periods without direct supervision. Key features under development to support this include dual external SD card slots for redundant storage of measurement results and log information, and an OTG USB port for straightforward, automatic data retrieval.
The R7795 is being specifically tailored for applications such as Nuclear Safeguards and nuclear material process monitoring, as well as other areas requiring continuous, unsupervised monitoring. Like the Hexagon, it is intended to be compatible with a broad range of detector types, including HPGe, Silicon, CZT, NaI, and LaBr3 detectors, and will feature integrated High Voltage and Low Voltage power supplies.
The R7795 is fully supported by Quantus High Performance Quantitative Spectrometry Software for comprehensive gamma-ray spectrum analysis and radionuclide identification. Additionally, Quantus LiteComing Soon will guarantee data acquisition and basic spectrum analysis capabilities. The R7795 UMCA is poised to be a dependable solution for automated gamma-ray spectroscopy in continuous, unsupervised monitoring applications.
