Overview

The Amplifiers (Spectroscopy) family provides advanced analog pulse shaping and timing extraction for high-resolution radiation detection systems. Designed for use with charge-sensitive preamplifiers and a wide range of detectorsโ€”such as HPGe, scintillators, PMTs, and fast semiconductor sensorsโ€”these modules deliver precise energy measurement, timing discrimination, and pulse-shape analysis within compact NIM architectures.

They combine low-noise spectroscopy amplification, configurable shaping networks, baseline restoration, and pile-up rejection with integrated timing filters and constant-fraction discrimination. Multi-channel implementations support both independent and summed outputs, enabling energy, timing, and multiplicity information to be extracted simultaneously. Some configurations also provide fast/slow component processing for pulse-shape discrimination, allowing particle identification and gammaโ€“neutron separation in modern scintillator systems. Fully programmable parametersโ€”such as gain, shaping time, pole-zero correction, thresholds, and timing delaysโ€”ensure adaptability across applications ranging from nuclear spectroscopy and fast timing to mixed-radiation environments and complex detector arrays.

Highlights

  • High-resolution spectroscopy amplification with programmable shaping, gain, and pole-zero compensation

  • Integrated timing filters and CFD for precise time extraction and trigger generation

  • Multi-channel architectures with energy, timing, sum, and multiplicity outputs

  • Low-noise performance with pile-up rejection and support for scintillators, HPGe, PMTs, and fast detectors
