The Low Cost VME crate family provides an economical yet robust infrastructure for small- to mid-scale data acquisition systems requiring standard VME64 compatibility. Despite the cost-optimized design, the platform retains essential features for laboratory and test-beam environments, including full support for 6U × 160 mm VME modules, adequate power distribution for mixed-signal electronics, and protection circuitry for safe operation.
