The Preamplifiers – Fast family is engineered for the readout of ultra-fast detectors requiring excellent timing resolution, low noise, and stable operation at high counting rates. Designed for applications involving diamond detectors, thin silicon sensors, RPCs, and other fast devices, these preamplifiers preserve signal integrity while providing high-speed shaping and precise amplification for both timing and spectroscopy chains.
Optimized input impedance matching enables operation over long transmission lines without significant degradation in noise or bandwidth, allowing front-end electronics to be placed far from detectors in harsh or radiation-intense environments. Integrated high-voltage bias decoupling, wide bandwidth, and fast shaping make this family ideal for high-rate experiments, time-of-flight measurements, and demanding nuclear or particle physics setups.
Ultra-fast, low-noise amplification for high-rate and timing-critical detectors
50 Ω matched input for long-distance detector connection (up to ~100 m)
Fast shaping and wide bandwidth for sub-nanosecond timing and MHz-rate operation
Integrated HV bias and robust performance in harsh or high-radiation environments

Fast, non-inverting preamplifier, positive output
Up to 5 mV/fC sensitivity
ENC of 0.3 fC (2000 e)

Fast, inverting preamplifier
Sensitivity of 3.6 mV/fC
ENC of 0.16 fC (1000 e)
