Overview
The Mini Crate VME family provides compact, low-power infrastructure for standalone operation, laboratory setups, and small-scale VME data acquisition systems. These crates are designed to host a limited number of 6U × 160 mm VME modules while ensuring full electrical compliance with VME64/VME64X power specifications, stable thermal management, and simplified deployment in desktop or rack environments.
From single-slot desktop units to multi-slot rack-mountable crates, the Mini Crate range enables flexible integration of digitizers, controllers, or custom electronics in space-constrained setups. Despite the reduced form factor, the crates maintain essential features such as protected power distribution, low-noise cooling, and compatibility with standard VME backplanes, making them suitable for prototyping, test benches, portable systems, and distributed DAQ nodes.
