HiVoCS rel. 1.30 or above contains EPICS service that provides access to a Process Variable of the Power Supply System using the Channel Access Protocol.
HiVoCS is a Web Interface available on any SY4527/SY5527/SY4527LC/SY5527LC CPU. This Interface can be accessed directly via browser without installing any additional software. HiVoCS manages all the most important settings like user level definition, passwords, networking, DHCP Server, licenses and upgrades. Firmware upgrades are in particular simplified and now takes only few seconds to be done, without using any other application. A crate map is also available, to show the position and the information of any board inserted in the mainframe. In addition, a really user friendly interface allows the user to set and monitor the channel parameters of any board independently: Voltage, Current, Trip, Ramps, etc…(For this feature an updated version of Java RE is needed).
HiVoCS is the heart of the new generation of CAEN HV Systems and it is easily accessible from any PC/Laptop.
