FERS-5200 is a flexible and scalable Front-End Readout System for large detector arrays, including SiPMs, multi-anode PMTs, silicon strips, wire chambers, GEM detectors and gas tubes.
Compact front-end boards integrate up to 128 channels with signal processing, data conversion, triggering, synchronization, memory and communication interfaces. Depending on the application, they support analog ASIC-based processing or fully digital architectures for timing and waveform acquisition.
FERS units can operate independently via USB or Ethernet or be combined through the optical TDlink protocol, which provides data transfer, slow control and synchronization. Data Concentrators aggregate information from multiple boards, perform event building and transmit processed data to the host computer.
Dedicated accessories and detector adapters simplify electrical and mechanical integration by providing signal routing, bias distribution, temperature monitoring and detector-specific connections.
Together, FERS Boards, Concentrators and Accessories form a complete modular platform for laboratory setups and large-scale spectroscopy, timing and imaging systems.
