EPICS IOC (SY4527 / SY5527)

EPICS (Experimental Physics and Industrial Control System) is a set of Open Source software tools, libraries and applications developed collaboratively and used worldwide to create distributed soft real-time control systems for scientific instruments such as a particle accelerators, telescopes and other large scientific experiments.
SY4527, SY4527LC, SY5527 and SY5527LC CPU integrates an EPICS Service that provides access to a Process Variable using the Channel Access Protocol. Process Variable is a named piece of data associated with the system (e.g. status, readback, setpoint, parameter).
Client software (EPICS Channel Access Client), which requests access to a Process Variable, runs on the Host PC and is connected to the system via TCP/IP.
EPICS service is contained in the HiVoCS (Web based Control Software for SY4527 and SY5527 Systems) rel. 1.30 or above.
