N803x is a CAEN Power Supply Family providing 8 Independent High Voltage channels in 2U NIM module. The channels share a Common Ground and four output ranges are available: 100 V/10 mA, 500 V/10 mA, 4 kV/3 mA (6W max), 6 kV/1 mA. The module is available with either positive or negative output polarity. Mixed version with 4 positive and 4 negative channels are also available.

N803x units can be controlled either locally, thanks to a 2.8” touchscreen color LCD display with a complete user interface, or remotely, via USB or Ethernet, taking advantage of GECO2020 Control Software. 100 V channels are delivered through BNC connectors, other versions feature SHV’s. The three high current models feature high Imon resolution of 50 nA, while the 6 kV/ 1 mA has a resolution of 5 nA. Each unit is provided with Imon Zoom which increases Imon resolution by a factor 10. The HV output Ramp-up and Ramp-down rates may be selected independently for each channel.

Software Tools available (free download) to control the Up to 6 kV Family N803x:

  • CAEN LabVIEW: It is a set of VIs developed to configure and monitor all the parameters of remotely controlled CAEN Power Supply Modules.

  • CAEN HV Wrapper Library: it is a set of ANSI C functions bundled in a library, providing the software developer an unified software interface for the control of all the CAEN Power Supply products.

  • GECO2020: CAEN General Control SW for High Voltage Boards and Systems. it can manage and control CAEN HV power supplies in any form factor as if they were an unique device.
