The Scalers family provides flexible counting, rate monitoring, and programmable logic solutions for laboratory setups and detector readout systems. These instruments are designed to measure event rates, accumulate counts over time, and implement trigger and timing logic within compact NIM or desktop platforms. With support for high input frequencies, multi-channel counting, and configurable gating and reset mechanisms, they enable precise monitoring of detector activity and experiment timing conditions.
In addition to standalone counters, the family integrates programmable logic and FPGA-based multichannel scalers capable of handling large channel counts and high counting rates. This allows users to implement custom counting architectures, time-tagged measurements, and synchronized latching of events, ensuring seamless integration with modern data acquisition systems and complex trigger schemes.
