Overview

The DT5550W family provides programmable desktop readout systems for SiPM detectors and SiPM arrays, based on Weeroc ASIC technology. Designed both for ASIC evaluation and full-featured data acquisition, the platform combines a main FPGA board with replaceable piggyback boards hosting Petiroc or Citiroc ASICs.

Available in 32, 64, and 128-channel configurations, the family supports SiPM bias supply, ASIC readout, digital conversion, trigger management, and USB 3.0 data transfer in a compact desktop unit. Petiroc-based versions are particularly suited for accurate timing and time-of-flight applications, while Citiroc-based versions are ideal for energy measurement in SiPM-based imaging and spectroscopy systems.

The open-FPGA architecture, based on a Xilinx Kintex-7 FPGA, allows users to develop custom firmware through Sci-Compiler, while the included SCI-5550W software provides ready-to-use tools for DAQ management and ASIC configuration.
